Patzia manages Rise Up’s Latin America programs and supports our Youth Champions Initiative, including the recruitment and selection of Rise Up Leaders, the planning and implementation of Accelerators and workshops, and monitoring and evaluation and technical assistance for Rise Up grantees.

Patzia became interested in nonprofits after working for the United States-Mexico Foundation for Science, where she collaborated with government agencies in the health sector. Before joining Rise Up, she worked as a grants associate at the Silicon Valley Community Foundation.

Patzia has a Master’s in Public Administration with a specialization in Health Care from California State University East Bay and interned at the University of Calgary. She also serves on the board of directors for La Familia Counseling, a Latino community-based non-profit organization in Hayward. In 2019, Patzia received the 40 Under 40 award from Cal State East Bay. Born and raised in Mexico, Patzia enjoys hiking through the San Francisco Bay Area.
