Grace Kaimila-Kanjo

Africa Regional Senior Advisor (Consultant)

Grace has over 25 years of technical work experience in international development program management, covering a wide range of fields, from education to media and public relations to gender, youth, and HIV/AIDS. She has worked with Rise Up’s programs since 2010 as a capacity building advisor and lead facilitator. Until June 2015, Grace was part of the senior management team of the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) based in Harare, Zimbabwe where she served in the capacity of Chief Operating Officer and Senior Advisor to the Executive Secretary. She has also worked with the Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa (OSISA), the University of Malawi, and with UNICEF and UNDP. Throughout her career, she has played key advisory roles to government, civil society, private sector, UN agencies, and bilateral agencies in the area of capacity building in program management and organizational development. She is an experienced trainer and passionate facilitator. Grace holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Malawi, a Master’s degree from Concordia University in Canada, and an Executive Master’s degree in International Education Policy Studies. She also holds a number of professional certificates in management, training, communication, and international development.
